On certain affiliate marketing forums you can mention a company name and your position, but nothing else.Other things are allowed on affiliate marketing programs. Though there may be guidelines when it comes to introducing yourself, people who frequent the forum will want to know about you. Things like what brought you to the forum. What you’d like to get out of the forum. In other words, who you are and what your goals are.When you join a forum it’s like going to a party where you don’t know very many people. You want to get to know people, but since you’re coming to a party where everyone knows everyone else except you, you have to let them know who you are in as nice a way as possible. This means that it might not be a good idea to start trying to sell your product or service right away, but rather ease your way into it. Let people get to know you and be comfortable with you.When you first start to post do so without asking any questions because those questions might get lost in the introduction. Just tell other posters about yourself and keep the questions for another time. Save questions about getting started or building your first website for a different forum.
